The key SSH is create when during the build?

If not create, do i need to do inside the container or outside?

Hi @ArmandArthur!

The image built by this template does not contain either an OpenSSH server or an OpenSSH client by default. Accordingly, neither host keys nor client keys are generated during the build process.

Whether you need to generate keys depends on what you might need them for during the build and/or operation of the container. Usually this is not necessary for images based on this template to work correctly. This is just a template - you can make any changes to it in your projects.

Why would you want to generate an SSH key in a container?

I don't think you fully understand the use of SSH keys.

OK git command should be done outside the container.
But if i had installed git flow inside the container, commands are inside for git flow.

You can do this, or mount a volume containing your personal ssh key.

Note : If you generate an ssh key for each build, you'll have to reconfigure your git for each build, so it's not an easy way to work.

Yes but i don't know how create a volume for ssh key, maybe more professionnal...
So otther way for the moment.

If you need to use your private SSH keys inside a container, then I find it easier to use an SSH agent. Launch the SSH agent on the host machine and forward its socket to the container. You can find out how to forward an SSH agent socket both for building and for running a container here: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/72384329/using-ssh-agent-with-docker-compose-and-dockerfile.

If you need it solely to run Git and Git Flow, then I'd recommend doing it on the host machine if possible, rather than inside a container.
